RAW WATER TREATMENT
EcoSource builds and install plants for flocculation, coagulation, dissolved or
induced air flotation (DAF / IAF), clarification, filtration, oxidation, membrane
separation and purification, sanitation, sterilization.
Contaminants that are typically removed are suspended solids, organic and
inorganic pollutants, colorants, dissolved organics and heavy metals. Each
application is analyzed, designed and implemented individually.
Examples of projects are upgrading of river water to SANS 241 standard for
potable water, removal of uranium from Vaal river intake to render safe for
drinking water, clarification and sterilization of underground water to potable
Wastewater has become an important source of water. Wastewater is treated,
upgraded and purified to industrial water quality or to potable standards.
Processes used are aerobic/anaerobic digestion, membrane separation or
membrane bioreactor, clarification, flotation, filtration, ion exchange, advanced
oxidation to remove pollutants and contaminants, heavy metals, organic
substances, vitamins, hormones, oils, acids, bacteria and pathogens.
PACKAGED, MODULAR PLANT
EcoSource built self‐contained treatment plants in packaged or modular sizes for
rapid deployment and simple installation. The aim is minimum disruption of
operations, fast response, and ease of capacity upgrade.
Such units are raw water treatment, Boiler feed water upgrade, water
sterilization, air filtration and sterilization, NF / RO membrane unit, saline water
treatment, MBR water recovery, oil separation/removal, removal of heavy metal
contamination, bio‐filtration of air.
